Game Overview
In the near future.

In a not so distant place.

There exists a society where law is based upon deterrence and criminals are assigned "obligations" fitting for their crimes.

Within this society, a man named Morita Kenichi aspires to the position of Special High Class Individual, one who holds authority over said criminals.

For the purpose of fulfilling his ambition, Kenichi returns to the town he once called home. There he will encounter three girls bearing "obligations" and there he will encounter the past he left behind.

Setting
Sharin no Kuni takes place in an unnamed country, often referred to as the 'wheel country'. Although nominally democratic, all aspects of society in this country are influenced by an elite stratum of people known as "Special High Class Individuals." Special High Class Individuals possess complete legal authority, using this to confer 'obligations'- absolute rules which if disobeyed will result in one's confinement in a forced-labor camp - upon those whose actions are judged to be detrimental to society.

The country's geographical location is not mentioned, but it is a separate political entity from Japan. It borders a poverty-stricken and war-torn 'Southern Country', whose inhabitants have a distinctive appearance and are often discriminated against in the north.

The events of the story occur in an isolated farming town, surrounded on all sides by mountains. Some years past, the town was the origin of a civil uprising which was suppressed brutally by the government, resulting in a large quantity of orphans and people with punitive 'obligations'.

Story
Sharin no Kuni's story centers around Kenichi Morita, a young man who has been training for the past seven years to become a Special High Class Individual. For his final examination, he has been dispatched to the same town in which he lived as a child. His task: to pose as a student in the town's school and rehabilitate three of his classmates who possess 'obligations', successfully preparing them to re-enter society.

However, this seemingly straightforward examination will force him to call upon all his training, exercise all his wits, and confront the past he fled from so many years ago...

Character
1.Kenichi Morita


Kenichi is the protagonist of Sharin no Kuni. Despite being the youngest person to ever become a Special High Class Individual cadet, he has already distinguished himself as a CEO and a combatant in the Southern Country's foreign legion. Often considered slightly unhinged from the latter experience, he has a habit of talking to himself and making jokes other people rarely find funny. Despite his arrogant exterior, he has a strong sense of justice, which often clashes with the values of the country he serves. Being an SHCI candidate, Kenichi is a multitalented genius who is highly skilled in many areas such as Small Arms combat, Martial Arts, Business and Moneymaking, and even Spelunking, and possesses near-superhuman endurance and a charisma which endears him to nearly all whom he meets. He also has a habit of breaking the fourth wall when speaking to himself, referring to "you", though it is revealed later that he is actually speaking to his sister, who is right next to him (although he admits later that it's also due, to an extent, to his drug)

2.Natsumi Hinata

Voiced by: Mana Shinjou
The first person Kenichi meets upon his return to the town, Natsumi is an extremely shy girl who is prone to stuttering and spacing out in the midst of conversations. She is often concerned that she is a bother to other people, making it difficult for her 'friends' - Sachi and Isono - to involve her in anything. She is an orphan as well, and has few hobbies of her own except for taking strolls around the sunflower field outside of town. She is the main heroine of the story.

Her obligation is "Prohibited from Falling in Love" - considered one of the most severe obligations, she cannot have any physical contact with the opposite sex. Due to her introverted personality, she is hardly inconvenienced by this, and seems to have a fear of being touched above and beyond the consequences of violating her obligation..

3.Sachi Mitsuiro

Voiced by: Miya Serizono
Sachi is a girl with an energetic and vibrant personality, at odds with her habits of dozing off at school and procrastinating whenever an opportunity to do work presents itself. She is hardly fazed by Kenichi's exterior and is the first to become friends with him. An orphan, she earns money through internet speculation, and shares her apartment in the school dormitory with a little girl from the Southern Country named Mana. In the past, she had a hobby of painting, but she has not done this since her parents died.

Her obligation is to have a "12 Hour Day" - after being awake for twelve hours, she must 'stop' by taking medicine which knocks her unconscious for another twelve hours. This medicine is not particularly effective at relieving fatigue, and she often naps for a good portion of the remaining hours.

4.Touka Oone

Voiced by: Sumire Murasakibana
Touka is the class president, an outspoken and brash girl who has no patience for Kenichi's behavior and often acts violently towards him. She is the worst student in the class due to being prone to careless mistakes, and this clumsiness is physical as well. Due to her obligation, she has a tenuous relationship with her mother Kyouko. She secretly wants to become a cook, but is prohibited from entering the kitchen due to an accident when she was young.

Her obligation is "Prohibited from Becoming an Adult" - meaning that she must obey every order given to her by her parental figure, Kyouko. Burdened with unreasonable restrictions such as an hour-by-hour daily schedule, and a prohibition from watching TV or reading books except for studying, she often seeks small ways to rebel.

5.Eri Nagumo
Voiced by: Mariya Kurata
One of Ken'ichi's fellow cadets for the position of Special High Class Individual, Eri is considered the most promising of the current cadets. She is only slightly older than Kenichi, but has already obtained a Ph.D. in Law Science. Although dedicated and studious, she has an unfortunate habit of not being the most punctual of people.

6.Sepia Uzuki

Voiced by: Mori Keisuke
A classmate of Kenichi's, Sepia is the one person able to outdo his eccentricity. He claims to be able to talk to fairies and often speaks about bizarre subjects, inevitably incurring Touka's wrath. A fanatical devotee of Higuchi Saburou, leader of the civil uprising in the past, he resents Kenichi for being a 'dog of the nation'. He is romantically infatuated with Touka's mother, Kyouko.

7.Masaomi Houzuki

Voiced by: Norio Wakamoto
Houzuki is the Special High Class Individual supervising Kenichi's examination. Despite being lame in one leg from a war injury and walking with a cane, he is an intimidating individual who unnerves even Kenichi. Relentlessly dedicated to society, he is not above manipulating anyone- even his own protégé- to produce what he perceives as the most favorable result for the future of the country.

The Background of the story


In AD 2045, a group of military cadets, attending the preparatory course of the Central Military Academy, proceeded for training aboard the space station Aries. Within this group of cadets were Ryota Aizawa and his classmates including Sayaka Nagase and Kazuhiko Nitta. The situation went sour when a terrorist group called "Jararacas" took over the station. While the military successfully evacuated the station, Ryota and his group were trapped aboard. Ryota's big bro, Aizawa Shuhei is a bright hope at their worst situation, but suddenly something wrong happened to him. Worse still, the boarding assault left most of the military forces dead, effectively leaving the cadets on their own.

An unexpected twist occurs when a mysterious virus was released within the station, gaining control of almost all personnel of Jararacas and turning them into mindless creatures in the process. This creatures called Skura, whom form is look like an amoeba, with high regeneration rates and high level intelligence. This forced everyone, friend and foe alike, to find a way out of the station alive. Well, the "Soul Link" is one of the neccesary key for them.

1. Morisaki Nao

For those who are interested, here are her measurements:

Nao is voiced by “Nagasawa Hitomi” (A.K.A. this woman), and is one of the kindest characters in the story. Quite the opposite of Shuuhei, Nao would probably never hurt a fly. She admires Shuuhei’s strength and always wants to be with him. She chose to become a cadet in order to follow after Shuuhei.Although she was unsure of what she could do to help Shuuhei at first, she soon found the nursing program. While she realizes she won’t be able to support him from the front lines, she hopes that her medical training will allow her to offer him support and help keep him alive if he comes back injured. Her heroine is Florence Nightingale.Shuuhei and Ryouta have both been two of her most important friends ever since she was little. She is an excellent cook and always very kind and tender to others. However, she is still capable of taking a stand, and at times even Shuuhei gives in to her. She is also quite fond of children.

Unlike Sayaka and Aki, Yuu doesn’t express much emotion and prefers to only say what’s necessary. Her attitude helps keep her an outsider to the rest of the group.Yuu is also the only civilian left aboard the Aries with Shuuhei and the others. However, her dislike of working with others and her independent actions causes Shuuhei to suspect that there might be more to her story. It also appears that she is only half-Japanese.As one who says very little about herself, her skills and interests remain mysteries to most people. Perhaps a very different Yuu lies beneath the secrets she hides?

3.Nitta Aki

Aki is voiced by Ono Marina, and is what some might call a firecracker. She is quick to learn new things, and is highly skilled in computers and several other areas, but this talent has gone to her head. She believes that those with appropriate talent and skill are the ones who should be given responsibility and only respects those who have proven themselves capable. The idea of rule by seniority absolutely disgusts her.Although she’s not afraid to speak her mind against any incapable superiors, she does realize it isn’t good to make everyone in the hierarchy an enemy so she will brown-nose those with actual ability. She also has a low tolerance for idiocy and is quick to point out the flaws with someone’s idea or to make a sassy remark in reply to someone’s joke.She is a very strong willed girl and can be quite stubborn at times. She is also impatient, which is ironic since she can end up making others wait when she gets frustrated by hard to crack security programs. Still, Aki can also be a playful girl or even a tease.

4.Nagase Sayaka

For those who are interested, here are her measurements:

Sayaka is voiced by “Goutokuji Aiko” (A.K.A. this woman), and shows great promise for the future. She has proven to be reliable when a task needs to be done and she has served as a leader for her class at the academy. She is quite curious and isn’t afraid to ask questions either.Sayaka’s driving force for joining the military is her desire to operate all manner of vehicles. She loves driving cars and bikes, steering boats, piloting planes, and more. If it’s a vehicle of any kind, Sayaka probably has every manner of license available for it. As a military cadet, she is excited about the opportunity to pilot spacecraft, drive tanks, and operate all other kinds of vehicles which civilians are prohibited from operating. She realizes that she will eventually have to limit herself to one military vehicle in the future, and she already has her eye on becoming a fighter pilot, since that seems to be the fastest vehicle they offer.She is very impressed by Shuuhei and his actions. Perhaps she even admires him some. However, she has had a soft spot for Ryouta ever since they first met. She tends to wear her emotions on her sleeve and show a wide range of expressions. When she wants some time alone to think, she often visits the hallway along the outer bulkhead so she can gaze out upon the stars.

5.Aizawa Ryouta


Ryouta is voiced by Koike Takezou (A.K.A. this guy), and is featured as the main character in Chapter 2. Unlike his brother, Ryouta is very indecisive and has trouble bringing himself to take action. He usually follows rules and protocol, which has left him quite bored at the academy. It’s hard to imagine him taking the initiative to do something.However, Ryouta is a very kind person. Shuuhei believes this kindness is one of Ryouta’s strengths and hopes this strength will give him the courage he needs to act and accomplish great things. Ryouta isn’t so sure he can respond to his brother’s hopes for him, but it’s true that he hates the thought of his friends and comrades being hurt.Since he was always protected and cared for by his brother Shuuhei, Ryouta can seem a little immature for his age, but this does change throughout the story. He seems to have an inclination towards Sayaka, but both Aki and Yuu are new to the Aries, so only time will tell…

6.Aizawa Shuhei


Shuuhei is voiced by “Healthy Tarou” (A.K.A. this guy), and is arguably the main character of the story. He is a man of action and doesn’t hesitate to pull the trigger when it counts. When the Aries falls under attack, Shuuhei is the one who takes charge and leads the other cadets who remain trapped on board.He is a quick-thinker and often surprises others with his acute judgment in battle situations, but he still can’t stop from telling the occasional dirty joke. As a cadet in the military academy, he is receiving officer training. Although he hopes war never breaks out, in the event that it does, he intends to serve on the front lines in order to protect his country and the people he cares about.The two people he cares about most are his little brother Ryouta, who he’s always protected and helped raise since they were little; and Morisaki Nao, who is both a childhood friend and someone special to him. The three of them have been together for many, many years and they share a strong bond with each other.

7.1 Cellaria Markelight

Cellaria is voiced by Iwama Nobuko (A.K.A. this woman). She is a special instructor called in from the US to act as a military advisor. She teaches English, Mechanics, and organizes special military exercises for the cadets on board the Aries. She can be strict about the rules, but is typically a kind teacher who cares about her students. She seems to be a calm person who keeps her cool, but sometimes she can act quite passionately. Many of the cadets on board the Aries adore her. When danger strikes, she fights alongside Shuuhei as one of the few characters with live-combat experience.

7.2 Nitta Kazuhiko

Kazuhiko is voiced by Mizuki Shuu (A.K.A. this man). He is the heir to one of the nation’s largest corporations and he made the academy accept his custom ordered uniform. For some reason, he seems to view Ryouta as a rival and takes every available opportunity to leave a snide remark with him. He has a vast array of knowledge and many of the other cadets call him a walking encyclopedia. Like many of the other cadets, he lacks combat experience, but his specialty lies with computers. However, the constant thorn in his side is the fact that his little sister, Aki, is even better than him.As often comes with such wealth and power, Kazuhiko is arrogant and prideful. He knows formal manners and how to act polite, but he certainly does not like being treated as equal to any commoner like Shuuhei or Ryouta. Perhaps it is this attitude of his and those around him which led to Aki’s distaste towards incapable superiors, but the truth is that he truly cares for his little sister.

Morimoto Shigemichi


Morimoto is voiced by Nagano Isamu (A.K.A. this man) and is the oldest character who failed to evacuate the Aries. He is the assistant manager of the Aries and focuses on its offerings to civilian passengers. He demonstrates excellent professionalism and takes great pride in his work. He is a kind and honest person so there isn’t anyone who dislikes him. He also has a sly sense of humor and an easy-going manner of speech. His hobbies are the violin and magic tricks.

Inatsuki Nanami


Nanami is voiced by Maki Izumi (A.K.A this woman) and is one of the last characters to be found on the Aries after the evacuation. She is always bright and optimistic, cheering up all of those around her. She loves to eat and sweets are her absolute favorite. Just as you would expect from her looks, she tends to not understand many things, but she also has an exceptional ability to pick up new things.

ok folks... now i will start the review...

1.In General
This game is awesome, yeah.... it's awesome
i really love this game so much, at first
i thought it's a hentai based game.. but after i played
it.. i realize that the game have a very rich yet touching
story, It makes me cry... especially Mei route (spoiler alert)..
but this game has one flaw so far, that is the different quality of
picture between cg and on screen character, which will be explained in
graphic section, And there is a lot of typo in the game. Rumors says that
the game which consist of many typos are the first release, and realizing that
they made a mistake, Over drive repair it and release the second edition

2.Grafic
ok as i already mentioned above, the on screen character looks very different
with the cg, sometimes I think, "did the same person draw this??"
but it is the same person.. (weird huh?). Despise that the Cg looks very good
, and the same thing goes to the background.

3.Storyline
ok... i dont know how to say this, because the storyline
it self is really-really good, this is the first VN game
which makes me feels really good without the hentai.. ^^
the story itself shakes your mood and feeling, but that
one of the reason why i love this game so much. They make
a conflict based from regular life and add a little touch
in it, and sometimes the ending itself is unpredicted.

lets talk about character, each character in this game has their own
"shine", yeah.. and also their personality matches with their storyline
and makes the story really-really "alive". They often slipped some comedy
during the storyline with the character personality, such as putting
girl panties in their face or something like that.. ^^

1.Background
kazushi and his gang are one of the outcast group in his class, and also
they never get a good score in school, but one day their life is about to change.
They found a program which will let them to have a best school life ever, an student tranfers program.
The one who passes the test will be sent to a girl school and study about alchemy.
Kazushi and the gang are agreed to study harder in order to pass the test itself, with a hope that they will be famous over there because they will be the only male in school.
but, the truth is always cruel....

2.Character
2.1 Kazushi

The Main protagonist he and his group of friends come
to the island to get girls.He is a nice guy, and also
the one who has the brain(i guess..), compared to his friend
(especially Appo) Kazushi is less perverted, and also
sometimes he make his friend jealous, because of the girl
are kinda stuck with him.

2.2 Appo

Pervert is the best way to describe his personality.
despise his perverted personality he has a good heart inside,
because of that he is one of the best friend of the protagonist.


2.3 Pierre

the one and only friend of the protagonist whom is not a virgin anymore,
yeah he lose his virginity to ********(spoiler alert).
He has a sideburns and kinda proud about it, even though his friends are
hated it. He just like Appo, but with a less perverted personality
(only a little..)but sometimes he will give you a good advice.

2.4 Daigo

A very big man and rounds out your group, sometimes he is mistaken
as a 30 years old. Unlike his big body, he has a sentiment heart,
sometimes he get over emotional and act like a animal.

2.5 Panchu

one of the man who Kazushi and the gang thing is a god.
he often helps Kazushi and also give them some great advice.
oh yeah.. he is one of the student in the school, and he likes
to bake bread.

2.6 Haruka Aozora

She was born and raised on Eiden island where there are
plenty of nature around.She is the grand doughter of the school president,
and also She is a school president. She is one of student who believe Kazushi
and the gang very much, She also has very kind heart, She likes to help
Her friend.She does not know too much about the outside world, so sometimes
she appears to be little clumsy. She is extremely
curious about the boys from other places. She makes others
hearts pound because of her defenselessness.

2.7 Mizuki Hinata

She loves to swim and the reason why she entered Eiden school
is so she can swim in the ocean all the time. Because of the
current, the water near the Eiden island is always warm.
She would even swim naked if she finds a little free time.
(although, since the boys saw her do that, she hasn’t done it)
She is popular among the girls as well. She has groupies at the
academy.Because she doesn’t have too much experience being with
boys, sometimes she acts rather rude, however, she yearns for being
in love, also she likes little nicknacks.

2.8 Ran Kamoike

Her hobby is to make money yeah making money, she is mr.crabs.
She believes in “even dirty money builds a house.
” She makes money selling things like “how to be popular among girls
(of course not the truth)” and “a picture of a naked woman (supposedly)”.
She makes little money here and there by running a dishonest “business”.
She is good at counting money and finding opportunities to make money
but not good at academics.Despite her activities, she is actually
rather shy and individualist.

2.9 Natsume Amamiya

She is a mysterious girl.She seems to be appear only at night,
She doesn’t talk much or likes to mingle with other people, so she
hardly has any friends---boys or girls, is she a ghost?

2.10 Mei Ibuki

The teacher of the main character’s class.
She is a graduate of Eiden Academy and in her mid-20’s. She
attracts boys,including the main character, with her charm,
which could be used to control them sometimes.Unusual at all
girls school, she is very popular among the
female students. The girls respect and look up to her.
but she doesn't has any memories about her past, what
happened to her and why she ended up in Eiden academy
When she drinks, her personality changes and she cries a lot.

Before i'm starting to review visual novel, firstly i'm going to tell you a little information about visual novel which taken from en.wikipedia.org
